OVERSEER MAXINE ROBERTSON

Overseer Maxine Robertson of Voice of Truth Ministries in Greensboro, AL hails from Chicago, IL where she developed a love and sense of compassion for others. As a little girl, she

exemplified a spirit of devotion and cared for the needs of others more than her own. Those early years laid the foundation for the life and the ministry of a humble servant of God. Pastor Robertson moved down South to Tuscaloosa, Alabama around the age of 6. She accepted the Lord as her Savior in 1977 at the age of 23. Pastor Robertson accepted her call to the ministry around the age of 25 under the tutelage of Bishop Larry Smith. Under Bishop Smith’s guidance, Pastor Robertson learned the art of true praise and worship. She faithfully served in Smith’s ministry for several years.

Pastor Robertson was ordained under Pastor Ida Mae Wilson at Tabernacle of Faith where she served as her assistant pastor for 17 years. It was during this time of spiritual cultivation that Pastor Robertson performed the works of an evangelist through jail ministries. At this time, she developed a burden for souls. During this time, she began her first radio broadcast.

After departing from Pastor Wilson’s ministry, Pastor Robertson delightfully served under Apostle Samuel Richardson of Miracle Valley Holyghost Temple as an associate minister and his personal assistant. While continuing with her radio broadcast and jail ministries, God granted Pastor Robertson with a women’s ministry---“Women II Women.” Through this ministry, many women have been blessed, delivered, and elevated spiritually, financially, professionally and personally.

Pastor Robertson’s jail ministry in Greensboro, AL branched out to street services; from street services to house services and from house services to a store front. In April 2004, Pastor Robertson accepted God’s new divine assignment as the Pastor of Voice of Truth Nondenominational Church. With a sincere desire to administer the church according to the Word of God, Pastor Robertson preached and taught the unadulterated Gospel. Voice of Truth expanded from the store front and is now located at 1872 County Road 21, Greensboro, AL. Overseer Robertson and VOT will celebrate their 17th church anniversary in April 2021.

 

Pastor Robertson has made great strides to help turn around the lives of the homeless, drug addicts, single mothers, families and others in life-threatening circumstances.

 

Because Overseer Robertson is a dedicated servant-leader, she still visits the sick, meets and prays with the intercessory team, counsels members privately, and greets members and visitors

after each Sunday service. She is self-less and loves emphatically.

 

Despite her never ending pastoral duties, Overseer Robertson has been a faithful and loving wife to Elder Victor Robertson for 22 years. They are the dedicated parents of five children, six

grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who love and cherish them.

 

Overseer Robertson has a life mission to be an effective, proficient servant, striving to create a legacy of excellence in Christ. Overseer Robertson aims to makeher life an expression of her unconditional love for

 

Jesus Christ. She desires to maintain the right attitude and action in every situation, according to Christian principles and value, so that she can be a light to this world.
